The City of Portsmouth is planning a huge hometown celebration for the 61^st year of TOSRV ending at the southernmost city in Ohio!  Portsmouth has a full party planned for riders, former riders, spectators, and bike enthusiasts.  Two headliner bands will be performing on stage at Three Bridges Park, Of the Dell AND Mikey Mike & the Big Unit from 1-5pm.  In addition, for the first-time ever, Portsmouth Connex is hosting a Vintage Cruisers & Custom Bicycle Show.  Anyone with an interesting cruiser or vintage bike is encouraged to display bikes in the park from 1-5pm.  Displaying bikes is free and no pre-registration is required.  Those planning to display bikes should bring a sun umbrella and a lawn chair.  Awards for Best in Show, Most Unique, and People’s Choice will be presented at the end of the festivities.  The Portsmouth Brewing Company (Ohio’s Oldest Brewery) will be serving six freshly made brews on draught at a table located just outside the brewery and adjacent to the infamous Portsmouth Bike Mural.  This area of Portsmouth is a Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA) and is also home to Portsmouth’s first outdoor recreation store, River City Adventure Company (RCAC).  RCAC will have special promotions for TOSRV riders and unique food trucks on the lot.  In addition to the Vintage Cruisers & Custom Bicycle Show, Portsmouth Connex will be bringing the smiles with a Welcome to Portsmouth finish banner and hometown welcome.  Riders may begin from Portsmouth, begin from Chillicothe, and begin from Columbus but they all will want to finish in Portsmouth and join the Portsmouth Party.

View 2022 Wild Ride Routes

June 18 @ Shawnee State Beach Parking Lot by the Black Bear DGC (Disc Golf Course). Start times from 8-10AM. The last day for early bird registration, $25 per rider, is June 17th. Same-day registration will increase to $40 per rider. Help us celebrate Shawnee State Park and Forest’s 100th Birthday with us by participating in the 2^nd Annual Wild Ride. The Wild Ride is not a race but rather a challenge. The gravel cyclist has two routes to choose from, the Bobcat-Gravel (a 35 mile route) or the Rattler Roll-Gravel (a metric century or 62.3 mile route).  The road cyclist may choose from three route options. The Bear Cub is meant to challenge beginner riders, the Bobcat is an intermediate route for more experienced riders, and the Rattler Roll is an advanced route full of challenging hills and twisting downhill turns. Aid stations will be provided along or in close proximity to all five courses. A registration fee of $25/rider is required in advance.  Same day registration will be available but the fee will be $40/rider.  Your prize?  Pride, comradery, an edible medal, a drink glass and drink voucher to the Portsmouth Brewing Company!
