If you are 50+ in age you can enter to compete in this Ohio Senior Olympic State Games cycling event! Portsmouth has been chosen to host the 5k and 10k time trials and the 20k road race. We hope all of Portsmouth and Scioto County will come down June 23rd and support this special event. If you would like to get registered to compete, sign up by May 25th at www.ohioseniorolympics.org.
A very nice write-up in the Portsmouth Daily Times on our Connex member, Nathan Mullins, bike trip from Cleveland to Cincinnati. Nathan is an avid and very strong cyclists and we are very lucky to have him as part of the Connex family! Nathan tackled the 326 mile Ohio Erie bike route solo this spring and was the first for the year to complete the trek. Congratulations to Nathan for his wonderful accomplishment. Nathan also had some very good advice for those that would like to get into cycling.
Our free group activities hosted by our Connex volunteers kicks off this first week of April! Join Wendi Waugh on Tuesday April 3, 2018 for the her first weekly Raven Rock hike then join Bill Kirby on Thursday April 5, 2018 for his first weekly Otway Covered Bridge ride or join Laura Rogers on Thursday’s for her weekly Laura’s Rookie Ride around Portsmouth. More free group activities will be starting up in the next couple of weeks, SO BE WATCHING!
