Wild Ride @ Shawnee Forest
Saturday, June 18, 2022, @ Shawnee State Beach Parking Lot by the Black Bear DGC (Disc Golf Course) – Start times 8-10 AM
Help us celebrate Shawnee State Park and Forest’s 100th Birthday with us by participating in the 2ndAnnual Wild Ride. The Wild Ride is not a race but rather a challenge. We have two gravel options and three fully paved rides. Those wishing to ride on gravel have two routes to choose from, the Bobcat-Gravel (a 35-mile route) or the Rattler Roll-Gravel (a metric century or 62.3-mile route). Those wanting to ride on fully paved roads may choose from three route options. The Bear Cub is meant to challenge beginner riders, the Bobcat is an intermediate route for more experienced riders, and the Rattler Roll is an advanced route full of challenging hills and twisting downhill turns. Aid stations will be provided along or in close proximity to all five courses. A registration fee of $25/rider is required in advance. Same-day registration will be available but the fee will be $40/rider. Your prize? Pride, comradery, an edible medal, a drinking glass and a drink voucher to the Portsmouth Brewing Company!
